What is traditionally called membership we at Calvary Baptist Church like to refer to as partnership. Why partnership? Well because the entire idea of joining a local church via covenant is not the idea of paying my dues and therefore having rights as membership implies. Rather it is the idea of devoting my time, talents and treasures in sacrifice, service and submission to the Lord through the local church – partnership.
If you sense God leading you to become a partner (member) of Calvary Baptist Church a Membership Application form can be picked up at our church office and completed.
The process to follow is to first make sure God is calling you to join Calvary Baptist Church, second complete and sign the application and turn it in to an Elder or pastoral staff member, third the Elders will review it and may schedule a time to talk in person with you simply to get to know you better, and finally assuming there are no issues with the application the Elders will approve your application and notify you of your inclusion as a Partner.
It is vital that you make sure you become thoroughly acquainted with our Church Constitution since part of signing your Membership Application Form (MAF) on the application is that you agree with our Church Constitution. At Calvary Baptist Church our Statement of Faith defines who we are and what we do but for legal reasons we also need to operate within our accepted constitution.
