Kids Ministry

At Calvary Baptist church our kids (age 3 through 3rd grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and age-relevant way. During the Sunday service our kids are escorted downstairs to their Children’s Church classrooms by our screened and trained ministry volunteers.
Infants up to age 2 can be cared for in our Nursery by our screened and trained volunteers.
Parents can also choose to keep their kids with them during the service on Sunday mornings. Activity clipboards are available for children to use during the service.
Children in grades 4-6 can sit with their parents in the service. Activity clipboards are available for their use if needed. When volunteers permit, we also offer Children’s Church for this age group.
All of our children ministry staff and volunteers are screened and trained in child protection procedures.
Your First Visit
Here’s what to expect when visiting Calvary Baptist Church with your kids for the first time.
First, look for our check-in computer located at the back of the foyer by the entrance to the sanctuary. Our ushers can help you to located this if needed.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
- Parent/guardian names
- Child’s Name
- Child’s Birthdate
- Home Address
- Phone Number
- Any medical notes or special instructions for your children (allergies, special needs)
Once you have entered all the information and have checked in your children to the appropriate program, you will recieive two stickers. One is for placing on your child and one is for you to keep. Once the service is over, you will present your sticker for retrieving your child downstairs at our Children’s Church classrooms or at the Nursery.
To speed the process of check-in during your first visit, you can pre-register your child. Once you fill out our online form, when you check-in all you will need to provide is your phone number or your child’s name.
